Payroll Analyst
Job Description

This role contributes to Starbucks' success by ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for partners. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for preparing, validating, and inputting payroll data, while modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks’ guiding principles.

Primary Project:

Support day-to-day payroll operations to allow internal partners to focus on the Pay Mod Project.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

Cycle processing (on/off cycle, separations)Partner communication and guidance validationIdentifying process gaps and proposing improvementsEnsuring compliance and stakeholder alignmentEscalating concerns and applying payroll best practicesSupporting partner understanding of payroll processesIdentifying learning opportunities to enhance team expertise

Highly collaborative with cross-functional teams.

Candidate Requirements

Technology Skills:

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)SmartsheetsSAP (preferred) or other HR softwareSuccessFactors (preferred)

Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of payroll experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationExperience with full-cycle payroll processing including time entry, separations, banking, garnishments, multi-state payroll, and bonusesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong customer service orientationWorks well independently and in a team environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
