As a Control Manager, Vice President in JPMorgan Payments Transformation within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB), you drive the design and execution of end-to-end control frameworks that align with firmwide standards and regulatory expectations. You will lead oversight across high-impact initiatives, proactively assess emerging risks, and deliver clear, executive-ready insights. You collaborate across diverse teams to embed consistent, rigorous operational risk practices and champion continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
Design and maintain end-to-end control frameworks aligned with firm standards and regulatory expectations. Lead program oversight and execution across multiple Payments Transformation initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Assess and mitigate risks for new business opportunities and partnerships, ensuring proactive control coverage. Oversee operational risk event management, issue remediation, and risk/control self-assessments (RCSA). Manage Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory reviews, ensuring readiness and timely responses to findings. Perform root cause analyses and implement effective corrective and preventive actions for control issues. Advise on corporate policies, risk and control management, and regulatory requirements. Drive consistent operational risk practices in partnership with Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Technology teams. Develop executive presentations and reporting that communicate control status, risks, and improvement opportunities. Support change management and continuous improvement efforts across Payments Transformation. Champion a culture of control awareness, accountability, and continuous learning.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience in control management, risk, audit, or payments business/operations. Demonstrated knowledge of risks, controls, and relevant regulations within payments or financial services. Strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle, product development, and partnership models in payments. Proven ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple, complex business demands. Excellent relationship-building skills with business leaders and functional partners. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail; able to synthesize large datasets into actionable conclusions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Visio.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience leading change management and significant improvement initiatives. Prior coordination of Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory engagements. Payments domain experience across pricing, revenue management instrumentation, and investment governance. Experience developing metrics and instrumentation for control monitoring. Exposure to end-to-end payment operations and transaction lifecycle controls. Ability to influence and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. Experience producing dashboards and executive reporting.
