Payment Posting Specialist

Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Payment Posting Specialist to join their team. As a Payment Posting Specialist, you will be part of the Revenue Cycle Management Department supporting the finance and billing teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Payment Posting Specialist

Location: El Monte, CA

Pay Range: $21-$25/hr.

Shift: 8 am - 5 pm

Duration: 3 months with possible extension 

What's the Job?

Pull payments from the bank and transfer them to internal records. Categorize payments by type to ensure proper posting workflow for each payment. Match payments to open invoices and resolve discrepancies. Match insurance EOBs to bank payments and break down large volume of insurance payments to the patient test level. Create price lists, perform credit analysis, and troubleshoot unapplied cash issues.

What's Needed?

Minimum of a high school diploma; preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related field. At least 2 years of payment posting experience, including payments from both customers and insurance companies. Work experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of HIPAA compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Familiarity with accounting software such as Netsuite and revenue cycle management software like Quadax.
