What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Payments Processing, this position is responsible for the fulfillment of all day-to-day activities relating to timely and accurate processing of ‘unique” high risk wire/payments. The incumbent will have global accountability relative to specific payment processing conducted on behalf of RBFG (Royal Bank Financial Group) via the following channels EDI Report, Pension Payments, Swift Invoices and Foreign Exchange Payments. Additionally, responsibilities include accountability for extreme high-risk processes associated with manual wire payments processing. This position will be tasked with ensuring a strong degree of risk management and oversight is entrenched for all unique processing with a goal to minimize risk and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

What will you do?
Effectively collaborate with all parties when a FAX Contingency is invoked as it relates to Manual PaymentsCancels payments and advises clients when unable to process payment due to incomplete information, carrying out all critical responsibilities related to all manual paymentsResponsible for processing of various payment exception processes to support client requirements.Contacts account managers for approvals where branch limit is exceededResponsible for Foreign Exchange transactions/conversions and prepares manual entries as required. Ensuring all conversions are appended on the payments are completed and formatted properlyResponds to inquiries from different partners relating to transactions posted to LYNX internal accounts and GL’s with follow up and escalating to appropriate service partners.Ensure Pension file is uploaded to GRADS and prepares and processes returned and rejected payment orders in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.Handling of appropriate Broken-Out messages, comparing ICN reference #’s to Broken-Out reportWhat do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Knowledge including SWIFT Payments and Messages, LYNX, EFT/RBC Express, BESS, FED; CHIPS, SP&S (Swift Payments and Statement), RFXKnowledge of wire Payments with strong desire to learnStrong commitment to teamwork and cooperationStrong organizational and decision-making skills with sense of urgencyAbility to work in a deadline driven shift environment with flexibility to work occasional overtime and public holidaysNice-to-have:
