**Hiring paint Prep Laborer - paying $22/hr. - Start ASAP !!!** **Job Description** As a Prep Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of axles and other components for painting. Your responsibilities will include cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure they are free of contaminants and defects before applying primers and coatings. **Responsibilities** + Prepare axles and other components for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking. + Ensure surfaces are free of contaminants and defects. + Apply primers and coatings as required. + Inspect surfaces for contamination, damage, or imperfections. + Clean and degrease surfaces to be painted. + Scrape and sand surfaces to remove old paint, rust, or other imperfections. + Mix and apply primer or undercoat. + Mask and demask, protecting areas that should not be painted. + Maintain equipment and tools used for painting preparation. + Document preparation processes and materials used for quality control purposes. + Maintain a clean and organized work area. + Follow safety protocols and guidelines. **Essential Skills** + Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment preferred. + Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Production and manufacturing environment experience. + Paint preparation skills including sanding, priming, and masking. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy competitive benefits including a 401k plan once hired on. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots and ear plugs are required, with gloves also recommended. Work hours are divided between two shifts: 1st Shift (5am/6am - 2:30pm) and 2nd Shift (3pm - midnight). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alburtis, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
