Job Title: Purchasing and Inventory Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing and Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing purchase orders, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring effective inventory control within an industrial environment. You will play a crucial part in supporting accounts payable processes and utilizing Sage 300 for comprehensive data management and reporting.

ResponsibilitiesReview and process purchase orders using Sage 300.Source and negotiate cost-effective purchasing with vendors.Monitor order status and follow up on delayed or incomplete deliveries.Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with procurement policies.Track inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies.Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to forecast inventory needs.Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and overstock.Match purchase orders with invoices and delivery receipts.Assist in processing vendor payments and resolving invoice discrepancies.Coordinate with the finance team for timely and accurate accounts payable entries.Maintain organized records for audits and financial reporting.Utilize Sage 300 for data entry, reporting, and analysis.Generate reports on purchasing trends, inventory turnover, and vendor performance.Recommend process improvements based on data insights.Essential SkillsProven experience in purchasing, inventory management, or accounts payable.Proficiency in Sage 300 or similar ERP systems.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Excellent communication and vendor negotiation abilities.Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in consumer product or manufacturing environments.Detail-oriented with a focus on precision.Ability to work effectively within a close-knit, flexible team.Work Environment

This position is based onsite every day at our KCK office, located in a very industrial area. Employees must wear closed-toed shoes daily, reflecting the industrial nature of the work environment. The company has experienced significant growth, offering a close-knit and flexible atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
