Patient Service Representative
Job Title: Patient Service RepresentativeJob Description The Patient Representative / Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, delivering exceptional, patient-centered service. This role is responsible for facilitating access to care in a courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population. This position plays a vital role in the healthcare team by managing the registration and appointment process and ensuring a seamless patient experience. Responsibilities + Greet and assist patients with daily front desk operations, ensuring all necessary steps for service delivery are initiated. + Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and team members across all service touchpoints (in-person, phone, mail, and digital). + Schedule appointments, explain services and associated fees, and collect payments as needed. + Verify insurance coverage and determine fees based on the sliding scale fee structure. + Distribute essential materials to patients, including satisfaction surveys, patient rights documentation, and other relevant information. + Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and job-specific standards. Essential Skills + Customer service + Medical knowledge + Health care + Healthcare reception + EMR + Prior authorization + Data entry Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma/GED Work Environment The position is based in a clinical setting with a schedule of Monday, Thursday & Friday from 9 to 5 and Tuesday & Thursday from 10 to 6. This is a contracted opportunity that may lead to a long-term position. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
