Job Description:
Responsibilities for this position include scanning and indexing insurance mail correspondence. Independently processes insurance denials and requests for documents. Sorts, organizes and prepares specific mail requests and problems. Provides clerical support for self-pay. Distributes daily correspondence/mail for department as designate in specific procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Hospital/Medical Business Office or Insurance Office experience required along with a knowledge of insurance EOB evaluation and coordination of benefits determination. Basic business office machine knowledge including computer, calculator and copier is required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work under deadlines as needed to accomplish work goals. Ability to work independently while working in a collaborative, team environment with a positive attitude.
