Our client, a healthcare organization, is seeking a Patient Financial Services Specialist to support financial intake, insurance coordination, and customer service functions. This role involves assisting patients and families with billing questions, verifying insurance coverage, and supporting account-related activities while ensuring clear communication and compassionate service.

Responsibilities

Serve as a point of contact for patients and families regarding billing, coverage, and financial questionsProvide clear explanations of insurance benefits, out‑of‑pocket costs, and payment responsibilitiesSupport financial intake activities, including verifying insurance and collecting required documentationAssist with billing tasks such as statement follow‑up, payment tracking, and basic account reconciliationSupport insurance‑related tasks, including documentation for renewals or eligibility reviews

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in patient financial services, billing, or healthcare customer serviceExperience with state insurance programs or benefits coordination preferredFamiliarity with electronic health records or billing systems a plus
