Patient Advocate Manager
Full-time, first shift, M-F
Job Description:
This role as a working manager will develop, implement, and oversee patient rights and advocacy processes and initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Receive, handle, and respond to patient complaints/grievances and other needs. Serve as a liaison by listening to concerns, identifying opportunities for improvement, and seeking solutions through the appropriate administrative channels. Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient care and promote positive patient, family, physician, and caregiver communication. Lead the Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC). Responsible for fiscal, staff management and resource development of the Patient Advocate Department.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nursing, Communications, Business Administration, or other healthcare related field required.
Active RN license issued by the state of KY required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient advocacy, healthcare navigation/operations, or a related role within a hospital or healthcare setting.
Notary Public preferred upon hire, required within 6 months.
