Patent Associate Attorney

What You'll Do:

Work at the forefront of innovation, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in cutting-edge fields like biologics, gene therapy, and diagnostics. Engage in strategic counseling, helping clients develop robust intellectual property portfolios and navigate the complex landscape of regulatory exclusivities and patent protection. Conduct thorough freedom-to-operate, patentability, and due diligence analyses to support corporate transactions and strategic partnerships. Collaborate with a global network to manage foreign patent prosecution and craft compelling responses to the USPTO. Partner with litigation teams to provide technical expertise in patent enforcement and defense.

What You'll Bring:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in a State Bar. Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). 1-5 years of experience in patent prosecution, particularly within a biotechnology or life sciences practice. An advanced degree (Ph.D.) in a relevant life sciences field, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics. Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills.
