Job Summary:

Visits patients, assesses their needs, interacts with families and other hospital staff for the good of the patient. Facilitates chapel services. Responds to all codes and crisis calls.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESVisits patients, families and staff. Prepares daily census sheets for the department.Prepares for chapel services.Coordinates all sacramental/liturgical ministry within the hospital and documents what is necessary.Refers patients, families, and staff to priests and ministers, as needed.Sends sympathy cards to families of deceased patients.Participates in and plans for memorial services.Responds to all codes.Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION

High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience


EXPERIENCE

One year of pastoral experience

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
