Job Description

Purpose: Provide engineering support for all tooling related functions, including assisting with implementation of new corporate projects.

Use caution and support facility systems to assure safety event free facilities.Respond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures.Observe, respond and report any instance of product, service, or quality systems non-conformity.Pause activity and notify Safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environments or employee and supplier practices.Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product, service or quality systems.Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, facilities or systems and verify the implementation of solutions.Respond to non-established procedures if they should arise.Provide input to Product Development regarding mold or tooling design and sign-off on final design.Work with all plants on tooling issues.Work with the plants on installation and start-up of all new molds or tooling.Optimize the performance of all molds or tooling within area of discipline.Work with plant operations to provide input on continuous improvement of the tooling department.Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.
