Job Description
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, inputting monthly journal entries, collating and distributing statements, and computing petty cash reconciliation. The role involves reviewing and cross-checking annual budgets, reconciling various accounts, coding and assisting with invoice processing, and maintaining spreadsheets related to Social Security.
ResponsibilitiesProcess vendor invoices and input to the accounting system.Run checks and generate related A/P reports.Input monthly journal entries and distribute statements.Compute petty cash reconciliation, including coding and journal entry.Review and enter annual budgets into accounting software.Reconcile monthly ROAR, Social Security, and Merchant accounts.Assist with coding and processing invoices and payments for facilities.Monitor and maintain spreadsheet changes for Social Security, including medical changes and other updates.Essential SkillsProficiency in reconciliation, accounts payable, and journal entries.Experience with general ledger, month-end processes, financial statements, bank reconciliation, petty cash, and cash flow.A degree in Accounting or Finance, or 4+ years of relevant experience.Ability to work with ERPs such as SAGE 100.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.2 years of enrollment in an Accounting program, or minimum four years' experience in a related field.Experience in non-profit accounting is a plus.Work Environment
The role is interim for 2-3 months, supporting the parent company on a part-time basis of 21 hours a week, working on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm alongside the Accounting Manager who is in office.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
