Part Time Security Officer
Location(s) Available: Bedford, MA / Lexington, MA / Burlington, MA
Schedule(s): Part Time - primarily Saturday & Sunday 3rd shift
Pay Rate(s): $20-$21.50 depending on site
Securitas Security Services is seeking a dependable and professional Part-Time Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment at our manufacturing facility in Chelmsford, MA. The Security Officer will monitor premises, control access, and respond to security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service to employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor facility grounds, buildings, and access points to prevent unauthorized entry
Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of the site
Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors; verify identification as required
Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other security systems
Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in written reports
Enforce site rules, safety procedures, and company policies
Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
Provide a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and other safety risks
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required
Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
Strong observation and communication skills
Basic computer skills for report writing and monitoring systems
