This position requires collaboration on all aspects of research, conducting field research and development of physics guided machine learning models. The primary project focuses for this Part Time Research position deepening the understanding of urban rivers utilizing hydraulic modeling, cutting edge AI technology and field research.

Duties and Responsibilities: Develop physics-guided machine learning models calibrated with real-time monitoring data. Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through academic publications, presentations, and community outreach. Conduct field research on an urban river. Test field samples in a laboratory. Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education PhD in water resources engineering, civil engineering or a related field
Work Experience1 year experience in civil engineering or a related field
Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills) Highly motivated with strong written and oral communication skills Must be able to work independently and communicate proactively
Specific Job Knowledge (e.g.; knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area) Advanced computational hydraulic modeling skills Machine learning modeling skills
Equipment Knowledge Must be comfortable working on a computer Standard office equipment
Preferred Qualifications: Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills) Good organizational skills
