Job Summary:
A relaxed and welcoming family are looking for a part-time, child friendly Housekeeper to support their busy household. The family have a 2 year old daughter and a lovely Golden Doodle, so this role would suit someone who enjoys both children and dogs.
Both parents work – mum works part time. Some days they are out of the home, and on others they work from home. The household is informal, friendly, and easy-going.
The family live in a large family home (currently 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms over two levels), with an extension underway that will eventually make the home 5 bedrooms.
Their dog is friendly and affectionate with people he knows, however, he can be anxious with those he doesn’t know. Because of this, we would specifically like someone who is experienced with dogs.
Job specification:
Housekeeping
General cleaning and tidying of the home Laundry and ironing Deep cleaning when required Organising cupboards Running errands, including grocery shopping Letting in tradespeople as needed
Dog Care
Taking the dog for walks Letting him out for toilet breaks General day-to-day care
Childcare (as needed)
Keeping an eye on the family’s daughter when required Playing with her and engaging in age-appropriate activities Babysitting on occasion
Candidate specification:
Proactive and takes pride in keeping a home neat and well-organised Comfortable around children and able to build a bond with their daughter A genuine dog lover and experience with dogs Easy-going, friendly, and pleasant to have around the home Hold a driving licence and own vehicle
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
