Hourly rate Lifeguard I - Entry level hourly rate is $17.32 Lifeguard II - Entry level hourly rate is $19.42 Minimum Qualifications Lifeguard I and II qualifications: + Candidate must be 16 years of age. + Valid and current Lifeguard Training Certification by date of hire. (a copy of the current certification must be attached to your application) + Water Safety Instructor certification preferred. + Able to demonstrate proficiency in swimming abilities and the ability to handle rescue activities while in the water. + Able to identify problems either visually or by auditory means in order to be alert to life saving needs. Lifeguard II Certification: + Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor, Certified Pool Operator or Aquatics Facility Operator, EMT, Paramedic, and/or Coaching Certification.
