Paramedic - Full-time, 36 Hours (3 days) per Week, Night Shift

Summary

The Paramedic is responsible for delivering advanced emergency and non-emergency medical care and support. This role involves assessing patients’ conditions, performing advanced life support interventions, and administering medications as needed during transport. Paramedic will collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care. Key responsibilities include operating advanced medical equipment, documenting patient information accurately, and providing clear communication to patients, staff and facilities. Strong clinical skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential for success in this dynamic environment. The Paramedic will also participate in training and development initiatives to enhance skills and contribute to team excellence.

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a full-time (36 hours per week) Paramedic to join our Transport EMS team at Baptist Health Hardin!

Full-time, 8p-8a

Job Description:

Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. 

Administers direct care to the patient of all age groups under the direction of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician’s assistant, and emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner or utilizes approved EMS medical protocols if transporting a patient. 

Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies as well as paramedic scope of practice.

Requirements:

Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Licensure by the Kentucky Board of EMS

Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator’s License

Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) through the American Heart Association

Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certifications (PALS) through the American Heart Association. This may be acquired within 90 days of employment.

Valid Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association

Other certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS
