As a PRN, Paramedic, you will provide high-quality care to athletes, patrons, and client employees at venues located in Ozone Park, NY and Elmont, NY. This role is ideal for a skilled and passionate paramedic who thrives in a thrilling live event environment and enjoys working in a dynamic outdoor setting. Opportunities are available Thursday through Sunday. 

What You’ll Do

Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistanceAdministers initial treatment at emergency scene and takes and records patient's vital signsInitiates intravenous fluids to administer medication or drug cardiac monitoringAdministers injections of medications and drugs  Communicates with physician and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephoneKeeps current on treatment techniques, protocol changes, material, and equipment Prepares required reports and maintains records of activitiesCleans assigned emergency vehicleConducts safety inspections, requisitions and restocks supplies, material, and equipmentMay require other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from an accredited Paramedic training program,  Current Paramedic Certification as defined within the state in which work will be performed  Current ACLS certification  NY Paramedics – based on city and county: Regional Emergency Medical Service Council (REMSCO), Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (REMAC), Regional Emergency Medical Organization (REMO) Certifications (NYRA Aqueduct & Belmont must have NYC REMAC and Nassau County REMSCO –have 30 days to obtain REMSCO  At least three years’ experience as an EMT-P with an ambulance/EMS service

 Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $28.00 - $35.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
