Job Description
This position provides essential support to attorneys by resolving routine legal issues under their direction. The role involves researching and analyzing various law sources, including statutes, judicial decisions, and legal articles, to prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, and contracts. This position typically requires a bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience in the field or a related area. The role demands familiarity with a wide array of legal concepts, practices, and procedures. The successful candidate will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, perform a variety of tasks, and may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, with the candidate typically reporting to an attorney.
ResponsibilitiesResearch and analyze legal sources to prepare legal documents.Support attorneys in resolving routine legal issues.Draft responses to OSHA complaints, ensuring a 5-7 days turnaround.Draft responses to Fire Department Violations and follow up on resolution.Engage in heavy writing and editing tasks.Work on different projects with several deadlines.Essential Skills5-8 years of Paralegal experience.Familiarity with OSHA regulations.Strong legal administrative skills.Excellent writing and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field.Experience in handling OSHA complaints and Fire Department Violations.Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.Work Environment
The position is fully onsite, offering an 8-hour workday from Monday to Friday, with typical hours from 8 am to 5 pm. Flexibility is available. You will work within a collaborative team of 7 risk managers, responsible for addressing OSHA complaints and Fire Department Violations. The role requires engaging in multiple projects with strict deadlines, demanding a proactive approach and effective communication.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
