Job Title:Paralegal

Pay: $28 per hour

Location: Nanuet, New York (onsite 5x per week)

Type: 6-month contract to hire

Job Description:

As a personal injury paralegal, you will assist attorneys in handling personal injury cases, which involve claims for injuries or accidents caused by another party. This role requires a combination of legal knowledge and administrative skills to support attorneys effectively.

Responsibilities:

Gather evidence and documentation such as medical records, accident reports, and witness statements.Draft and proofread pleadings, motions, and other court-required paperwork.Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all important information is accurately recorded and easily accessible.Ensure clients are receiving appropriate treatment and manage correspondence with medical professionals.Maintain relationships with clients, keeping them updated on case progress and addressing their concerns.Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, mediations, and depositions.Assess past and future medical expenses, loss of earnings, and pain and suffering.

Qualifications:

3+ years ofparalegalexperienceAssociate's Degree minimum required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
