Power-Flo Technologies has the capabilities of an electrical products distributor, manufacturer, and service organization all rolled into one. We are looking for you to join our collaborative team as a Panel Technician Helper at our Rochester location.

Panel Technician Apprentice Primary Function :

The Panel Technician Helper will be trained to build custom control panels.  

In this position you will work with experienced technicians to learn:

Basic electrical theory.To read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.Mechanically layout and mount hardware components.Wire complete panel in accordance with PFT panel procedures, UL508A specifications, and other best practices as given by the panel shop supervisor.The use of hand tools, i.e. jigsaw, drills, wrenches, screwdriversThe use of electrical test equipment, i.e. Multi meterTorque check and marking in accordance with PFT proceduresTest Custom Industrial Control Panels and OEM ProductsPoint to Point wire tests in accordance with PFT testing procedures

Along with acquiring technical knowledge, you will be responsible for the following:

Accounting for parts required for the jobMaintaining a neat and orderly work area at all timesOrganizing and maintaining shop tools and equipmentOrganizing and maintaining personal toolsOrganizing and maintaining your project items and materialsHelp maintain common shop supplies IE Labels, wire ties, wire, etc.

Panel Technician Helper Qualifications :

Previous experience, training, or schooling in electrical workFamiliarity with electrical equipment and hand tools and other power toolsWillingness to learnCurrent, valid, and clean NYS driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for up to 8 HoursAbility to lift 50 poundsAbility to work on elevated platformsAbility to climb laddersThis position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reachingYou may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditionsGood hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery 

Full-time, Monday - Friday, on-site.

Candidates need a clean and valid driver's license to operate company vehicles. 

$16 - $18/hour
