Panel Assembler - 1st Shift
**Job Title: Panel Assembler - 1st Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Panel Assembler for the 1st shift, responsible for wiring and building electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies in accordance with customer requirements. The shift runs from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. **Responsibilities** + Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per customer requirements. + Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of materials. + Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments. + Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. + Complete point-to-point wiring and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, and switches. + Document necessary information to initiate engineering change orders. + Perform operations such as deburring, grinding, and sawing. + Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant. + Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and write in English. + Reliable transportation. + Availability to work overtime. + Ability to work from blueprints and schematics. + Experience with ladder logic schematics. + Experience with drilling and tapping sheet metal. + Proficiency in operating hand tools. + Ownership of basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, tape measure, allen wrenches). + Experience with wiring harnesses or components. + Knowledge of various wire gauges, types, and sizes. + Ability to stand for long periods. + Prior experience building control panels. + Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED. + Experience working in manufacturing or assembly environments. + Proficiency in using a tape measure to measure accurately. + Experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, hex keys, drills, or saws. + Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting materials up to 30 pounds regularly. + Ability to squat, bend, reach, and perform other physical movements as required for the job. + Experience with mechanical assembly tasks or working with extrusion. + Experience with electro-mechanical assembly or grounding techniques is a plus. + Willingness to work overtime as needed. **Why Work Here?** Join a growing company that values motivated and detail-oriented individuals. The role involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 30 pounds, extensive use of hand tools, and long periods of standing. Safety is a priority, with requirements to wear safety equipment such as eye protection, hearing protectors, safety shoes, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Safety shoes are mandatory throughout the manufacturing plant. Certifications may be required for specific tasks, such as lock out/tag out and fork truck operation. Additional personal protective equipment may be needed for tasks like drilling, tapping, deburring, cutting, testing, lifting, and moving. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
