Job Description
Join a dynamic team dedicated to the production of custom-engineered electrical gear for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. We are seeking a Painter Helper to contribute to our manufacturing process by working in the paint area adjacent to the machine shop, both inside and outside of a paint booth. Your main tasks will involve painting, powder coating, and spraying fabricated sheet metal for electrical cabinets, as well as preparing paint mixtures according to specifications.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in painting, blasting, and prepping parts for industrial use.Paint and powder coat fabricated sheet metal for electrical cabinets.Test paint for appropriate thickness and adherence to products.Move materials and perform odd jobs as needed.Work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.Essential Skills1+ years of industrial painting experience.Proficiency with spray guns, paint booths, and industrial paint techniques.Experience with powder coating and sandblasting.Ability to calculate paint millage.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with different epoxies.General labor and assembly experience.Ability to perform spray painting and auto body work.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role is based in a medium-sized, clean, and organized shop that is part of a larger facility. The shop is non-climate controlled with open bay doors and ample fans to maintain airflow. The production shop is fast-paced, with around 15 people per shift, including machine operators, fabricators, QC personnel, and material handlers. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, a work shirt, and safety glasses. The day shift runs from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with frequent opportunities to work 50-60 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
