Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Painter Helper for a large metal finishing facility in Costa Mesa, CA. This role is available for second shift (2pm-10:30pm). As a Paint Helper, you will support the paint department and other processes by preparing parts for operators. Your tasks will include pulling and mixing paint, completing paperwork, and preparing surfaces.
ResponsibilitiesPull and mix paint as required for various tasks.Support the paint department and related processes.Rack and un-rack parts efficiently and safely.Stage and prepare orders for processing.Complete necessary paperwork accurately.Prepare surfaces of parts for painting.Inspect in-process paint using appropriate tools.Read and interpret basic sketches and blueprints.Utilize inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, mechanical gauges, x-ray machines, and thickness gauges.Essential SkillsProficiency in paint preparation, mixing, and racking.Ability to perform inspections using tools like duelscope.Basic sketch and blueprint reading skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, and thickness gauges.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility operates in shifts, with the first shift running from 6am-2:30pm and the second shift from 2pm-10:30pm. The work involves using various inspection tools and equipment in a metal finishing environment. Dress code is appropriate for a manufacturing setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr.
