**Job Title: Painter Helper**
**Job Description**
Join our team in the fire truck production process as a Painter Helper. In the paint department, you will engage in various tasks including bonding, metal finishing, grinding, washing trucks for paint prep, taping off parts, applying primer, performing touch-ups, and final painting. We offer mentoring for entry-level candidates with a clear progression path based on your initial skill level.
**Responsibilities**
+ Bond and metal finish/grind to prepare truck bodies and parts for painting.
+ Wash trucks to prepare them for paint prep.
+ Prep parts by taping them off.
+ Spray primer and apply final paint.
+ Perform touch-ups and correct paint errors.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in sanding, painting, metal finishing, and prepping.
+ 6+ months of manufacturing experience in paint or fabrication.
+ Background in automotive or machining environments using tools such as grinders or sprayers.
+ Proficiency in paint prep, spray gun operation, industrial painting, and sandblasting.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience in paint masking, spraying, or prepping.
+ Excellent attendance record with no terminations for attendance in the last two years.

Multiple shift options are available: 1st Shift ASY (4am-2pm, Monday-Friday), 1st Shift IPP (4:30am-2:30pm), 2nd Shift ASY (2pm-12 midnight, Monday-Friday, with a $2/hour shift premium), 2nd Shift IPP (2:30pm-12:30am), Early 4th Shift (Thursday-Saturday, 4am-4pm, with a $5/hour shift premium), and Late 4th Shift (Friday-Sunday, 4am-4pm, with a $6.50/hour shift premium). Note that some shifts require more skilled individuals due to limited training availability.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.04 - $30.00/hr.
