**Job Description**
We are seeking skilled painters to perform painting functions for commercial construction projects. This role involves working on both new construction and existing buildings, focusing primarily on interior walls, but also includes exterior painting. The position requires proficiency in brush and roller techniques and the ability to cut in without using tape.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform painting tasks using brush and roller techniques.
+ Execute cutting in techniques without the use of tape.
+ Engage in painting for both new construction and existing commercial and industrial projects.
+ Work on both interior and exterior painting assignments.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of experience in commercial or residential painting.
+ Proficiency with paintbrush and roller techniques.
+ Experience in paint preparation and commercial painting.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Willingness to travel overnight and work weekends when necessary.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes construction job sites with both indoor and outdoor projects. The team culture is driven by high expectations, focusing on excellence without micromanagement. You will be part of a team of 8-30 painters, supported by a dedicated owner and office manager. The dress code includes company shirts, pants or shorts, and appropriate footwear, including steel-toe boots for certain projects. The standard hours are from 8 am to 4:30/5 pm, starting at the shop, with flexibility to work weekends and travel overnight as projects require. Expenses and per diem for overnight travel are covered by the company.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
