Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Identifies needed materials, tools, and techniques to complete assignments; determines scope of minor revisions to work order requests and consults with Supervisor regarding major changes or additions.Maintains records of paint types and colors; assists with technical aspects of contractor projects when directed. Maintains painting and carpentry tools and equipment; stores materials safely in designated areas (e.g., fire-rated cabinets).Investigates work orders to determine appropriate solutions. Performs routine building inspections and selects compatible surface coatings and finishes.Prepares surfaces for painting by sanding, scraping, chipping, filling, and shaping, using hand or power tools. Applies primers and coatings to ensure durability.Performs carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation and repair, door and window installation, flooring repairs, and general structural maintenance. Uses hand and power tools to construct, install, and repair building components.Analyzes and diagnoses failures in building components and finishes; develops interim and permanent repair solutions.Documents all repairs and maintenance on service order slips; records operating statistics, painting schedules, and maintenance activities in building records and databases.Recommends appropriate treatments or repairs for wall surfaces and other building finishes.Coordinates and balances work assignments with other building mechanics to support departmental operations.Responds to and corrects deficiencies on service orders, executing new or modified installations that meet safety codes, manufacturer specifications, and allow for future maintenance access.

Requirements 

Minimum three (3) years’ experience working as a painter/carpenter preferably in a Corporate Office setting

Other Qualifications & Physical Requirements: 

Must pass a criminal background check

Must be capable to ascend/descent ladders and stairs for completing daily tasks

Must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. unassisted
