**Commercial Painter** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled painters to assist with interior painting projects in school facilities. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Candidates with prior experience in residential, commercial, or institutional painting are encouraged to apply. **Responsibilities** + Strip old paint from walls using scrapers and putty knives. + Prepare surfaces by caulking cracks, filling holes, and smoothing imperfections. + Protect surrounding areas using tarps, drop cloths, and painter’s tape to ensure clean, precise work. + Apply new coats of paint using brushes and rollers, ensuring even coverage and a professional finish. + Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project. + Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in painting, including paint preparation, sanding, brushing, and rolling. + Ability to cut in and back roll effectively. + Experience with spray guns, airless sprayers, and HPLV equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in residential, commercial, or institutional painting. + Capability to bring and utilize personal painting tools including brushes, rollers, extension poles, putty knives, scrapers, 3 in 1 tool, and caulk gun. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy the benefit of a daily per diem of $50 if residing over 75 miles from Milwaukee, along with provided hotel accommodation shared with another painter. Take advantage of 40 hours of overtime. **Work Environment** Work hours are Monday through Sunday, from 6am to 6pm, with 11.5 paid hours each day including two 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The environment can be rough without AC, but there are cool rooms available to cool down. It is a closed site, meaning you cannot leave the property once you start your workday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position, work will be performed onsite in Milwaukee, WI. This position is based out of Rockford, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
