Overview JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for interior and exterior painting associated with maintaining the hotel's structure, aesthetics, and standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Performs interior finish work to walls, floors, ceiling and doors such as, but not limited to the following: Determine and accomplish surface preparation necessary prior to applying undercoats and finish specified. Prepare material lists to order materials necessary to the job at hand. Care shall be exercised not to over order. Apply and/or repair the following types of finishes: paint surfaces: walls, floors, ceilings, wallpaper, vinyl wall coverings, and tiling experience a plus. Woodworking furniture touch up touch up. Maintains the paint shop. Including the safe storage of all paint materials and their economical use to avoid waste. Develops a list of tools and supplies required to perform necessary tasks. Prepare and patch drywall. Be knowledgeable about safety procedures related to flammable liquids. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS In addition to performance of key responsibilities and supportive functions, this position may be required to possess a combination of the following skills and experiences: Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisor and fellow employees. Excellent organization and acute attention to detail Physical requirements – ability to work for extended periods of standing or walking within the hotel operation, which will include lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying up to 20 pounds. Familiarity and knowledge of all departments within the hotel. Ability to manage conflict effectively and work diligently to obtain a mutually agreeable solution Ability to consistently display courtesy, etiquette, warmth and enthusiasm on the phone and in person Superior time management and task prioritization Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in professional manner Willingness to assist co-workers and guests beyond normal job duties Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in professional manner Willingness to assist co-workers and guests beyond normal job duties Ability to follow Universal Standards, including Guest Etiquette, Employee Etiquette, Phone Etiquette, Service Etiquette, and Ownership Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, night shifts, weekends and/or overtime. Also, depending on the season, hours may be reduced at any time. EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
