Wastequip has an opening for an Industrial Painter to support the Houston, TX location. This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more. The ideal Candidate should be familiar with using an airless paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment, where they will spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective/decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleans grease and dirt from productApplies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coatedFills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surfaceSelects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired colorPours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hoseTurns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of sprayPulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coatCoats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brushCleans spraying equipment and brushes with solventHeats and sprays wax onto products after they are testedRemoves rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing SystemExperience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured productsExperience using paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat or lacquerPreferred experience in a fast paced production environment
