Job Description:

The Painter is responsible preparing surfaces, masking areas, setting up and using sanding and spray equipment, and applying coatings according to specifications. The role ensures consistent paint application, supports production needs, and maintains compliance with all safety and quality standards. Painter works under supervision and is expected to follow established processes and procedures in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Hourly Range: $17.49 – $19.00 (based on experience)
 

Skill Requirements:

Knowledge of industrial paint application through vocational training, technical school, or hands-on experienceAbility to identify and properly use paint hand toolsProficient in operating sanding and grinding toolsAbility to set up and use spray painting equipment according to SOPCapable of inspecting painted parts for consistency, defects, and accuracyExperience working in a paint booth or industrial environmentAbility to follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work areaProper use of all required PPE (e.g., respirator, gloves, protective gear)

Safety Skills:

Wear all required PPE including respiratorsFollow all site-specific safety protocols and lockout/tagout proceduresMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5SOperate lift systems and automated rollers safely as requiredProvide input and feedback to support safety improvements

 

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of relevant painting experience in an industrial, automotive, or truck environmentExperience working with spray equipment and surface preparation toolsFamiliarity with painting procedures in a booth or similar controlled environmentAbility to read and follow basic work instructions and safety guidelinesHigh attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workMust be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and lifting parts as neededPerform other duties as assigned in our departments
