This Position reports to:

Production Manager

 

Manages the quantity of materials and components are available OR in process to the Paint cell to support the production schedule.  Monitors the production floor to manage inventory levels in the Paint area to help keep the flow of production moving.  Maintains machine set-up and schedule as related to the production operations.

Job Functions

Assist in the development and coordination of the daily production scheduleResponsible for basic machine set-up and changeovers.Review the daily production schedule for all shop orders involving component parts or odd/non-standard materials and verify that there are enough quantities available or in-process to support the production schedule including allowances for downstream scrapCommunicate any material/component issues impacting the schedule to the Supervisor in a timely manner to prevent unplanned press downtimeGenerate pick lists as required to support Paint DepartmentOrganize and control on-floor inventory of materials/components, performing all necessary transactions to ensure that WIP inventory accuracy is maintainedPerform as assigned other similar or related duties.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)6 months preferred related experience and/or trainingPrevious experience in physically demanding work in factory environment preferredAdditional duties may be assigned to meet business needsCan work overtime to meet Business ObjectivesCan work a weekend schedule as needed.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand various written instructions in EnglishBend, twist & turn in a safe mannerLift up to 40 PoundsStand for long periodsGood hand dexterityStrong math skills
