**Job Title: Paint Prepper** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Paint Prepper to support our production efforts in collaboration with welders, painters, and blasters. This role involves assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of vehicles, industrial machinery, and electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of various positions within the shop and have previous experience in the field. **Shift:** 1st. shift - Monday to Friday - 7am- 3:30pm 2nd. shift - Monday to Thursday - 1:30pm to 12am **Responsibilities** + Actively identify, correct, and report safety hazards to prevent accidents. + Pursue cost reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities. + Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System with self-inspection of work product. + Tend and observe machinery to ensure efficient and safe operation. + Examine and test machinery and components for defects. + Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, and other parts using tools. + Install or replace machinery and parts using hand or power tools. + Clean and lubricate vehicles and equipment using appropriate tools. + Apply protective materials to equipment to prevent defects and corrosion. + Transfer tools and supplies between workstations. + Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair. + Wash containers to remove debris from painted surfaces. + Assist painters, blasters, or welders with support duties. + Apply masking tape to protect surfaces during painting. + Locate and remove imperfections on panels before painting. + Sand surfaces to remove gloss and rough spots. + Remove masking tape and clean surfaces after painting. + Assemble and maintain physical structures using tools. + Provide assistance to skilled workers for maintenance and repairs. + Lift production objects weighing up to 50lbs. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years experience in manufacturing, construction, or carpentry, or completion of a technical school training program. + Strong work ethic and eagerness to work. + Knowledge and experience with hand and power tools. + Ability to work effectively in a team setting. + Adherence to the work schedule with a willingness to work overtime. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Assembly, hand tools, power tools, manufacturing, carpentry, mechanical skills. + Experience with sanding, sandblasting, paint prep, painting, industrial prepping, and grinding. + Proficiency with power tools such as grinders, impact guns, and circle saws. + Knowledge of industrial manufacturing, finish & paint work, blueprint reading, fabrication, and production. **Why Work Here?** We offer a competitive salary, a 401k employer match, paid vacation and holidays, and comprehensive medical and dental insurance. There is also a 2nd shift available from Monday to Thursday, 1:30pm to 12am. The work involves wearing a paint suit and mask, and attendance is critical. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cinnaminson, NJ. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
