**Job Title: Prep Laborer** **Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Prep Laborer to join our team. The main responsibility of this role is to prepare machine components for painting using abrasive blasting technology. The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale paint line abrasive blasting systems and will also assist with painting and end-of-line duties, such as part numbering, packaging, and material handling.
**Responsibilities**
+ Powder coat painting the parts for the line.
+ Prepare machine components for paint using abrasive blasting technology efficiently.
+ Unload components upon arrival and place them in proper locations.
+ Assist in loading parts onto carriers on the paint line and move carriers throughout the paint line.
+ Prepare components for paint primarily using an aggregate blast system.
+ Locate, interpret, and follow engineering prints to inspect for proper manufacturing of parts.
+ Follow all company safety rules and regulations.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Responsible for the proper use and care of company tools.
+ Train and become certified in the use of forklifts, cranes, and other necessary machines.
+ Adhere to all quality standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with agricultural equipment parts is preferred.
+ Ability in powder coat painting is a plus.
+ Experience in operating forklifts, skid loaders, and pay loaders is preferred.
+ Self-motivated and goal-oriented personality.
+ Ability to take direction from supervisors and make decisions with or without supervision.
+ Team-oriented mindset.
+ 2-5 years of practical applications experience preferred.
+ 1 year of industrial painting experience, ideally in a metal shop, is preferred.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to be on feet for 10+ hour shifts.
+ Capability to move and bend under and around large equipment.

**Work Environment**
The position is within an agricultural manufacturing setting. The facility is modern and well-maintained, offering a conducive environment for productivity. The work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with mandatory Fridays currently in effect. The role requires the ability to be on your feet for extended periods and to navigate around large equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mapleton, ND.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
