**Job Title: Paint Line Operator**
Job Description
The Paint Line Operator is responsible for a variety of shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of products. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving dock.
+ Unload, receive, prepare, expedite, dispatch, pick, and load shipments.
+ Construct boxes, skids, and crates to securely pack products for safe transportation.
+ Perform loading operations, including bracing and securing loads to ensure safe delivery.
+ Operate and maintain paint guns for painting accumulators; clean parts before painting.
+ Assist the Shipping Clerk with various shipping-related duties.
+ Follow shipping instructions, regulations, and documentation requirements.
+ Exercise sound judgment within the scope of general methods and instructions.
+ Safely handle materials using bridge and overhead hoists, lifting devices, and various forklifts.
+ Actively participate in a collaborative team environment.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
+ Experience with inventory control, order picking, and warehouse inventory.
+ Proficient in using a forklift and RF scanner.
+ Experience in shipping and receiving, labeling, loading, and unloading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in warehouse shipping.
+ Ability to follow shipping instructions and documentation requirements.
+ Sound judgment in general methods and instructions.
+ Experience with paint guns and cleaning parts before painting.

Work Environment
This position offers a choice between 1st shift (6:30 am - 3:00 pm) and 2nd shift (2:30 pm - 10:30 pm, Sunday to Friday), with potential for additional full-day shifts on some Fridays. The work environment requires physical activity, including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 pounds regularly. Employees need to wear steel-toed boots, earplugs, and safety goggles. The noise level is moderate, and reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.
