Paint Helper-swing Shift
**Job Title: Helper - Swing Shift** **Job Description** Join our team as a Helper on the swing shift, where you will be trained in niche skills for long-term growth in a dynamic aerospace environment. **Responsibilities** + Review and assimilate work instructions specific to paint type, dimensional tolerance, and thickness considerations. + Load, adjust, and perform light maintenance on HVLP coating equipment in various formats. + Review and follow work instructions for cleaning, masking, and abrasive blasting operations. + Conduct receiving inspections before processing and report any damage or discrepancies immediately. + Gather supplies such as racks, tooling, baskets, and carts as needed. + Oil and/or package parts for protection. + Clean production parts, including degreasing or manual solvent cleaning. + Perform routine maintenance on blast cabinets and machines. + Collaborate closely with area leadership to complete work and prioritize tasks. + Maintain best safety practices according to prescribed directives. + Occasionally lift heavy objects. **Essential Skills** + Excellent hand/eye coordination, practical skills, and attention to detail. + Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. + Basic computer skills and excellent attention to detail. + Good communication skills. + Ability to work independently or as part of a team. + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. + Adaptability to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with multiple priorities. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with hand and power tools. + Familiarity with paint preparation and sanding. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Mechanical skills are advantageous. + Willingness to learn and grow long-term with the company. + Entry-level position with training provided. **Why Work Here?** Join a large aerospace company that values growth and promotes from within. The environment includes exposure to chemicals, solvents, occasional fumes, and moderate noise levels. The facility operates 24/7, with shifts potentially changing based on needs, with one week notice provided. The swing shift runs Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
