**Paint Helper** **Pay: $21.00/Hour** **Location: Kent, WA** **Shift: 2PM-10:30PM** **Job Description** Join our team as a Helper on the swing shift, where you will play a crucial role in a dynamic aerospace production environment. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive setting, with comprehensive training provided for long-term career development. **Responsibilities** + Review and assimilate work instructions specific to paint type, dimensional tolerance, and thickness considerations. + Load, adjust, and perform light maintenance of conventional HVLP coating equipment in remote pressure, siphon, and gravity-fed variants. + Review and assimilate work instructions relating to cleaning, masking, and abrasive blasting operations. + Conduct receiving inspections before processing and promptly report any damage or discrepancy. + Gather supplies such as racks, tooling, baskets, and carts. + Oil and package parts for protection. + Clean production parts, including degreasing or manual solvent cleaning. + Perform routine maintenance of blast cabinets and machines. + Collaborate closely with area leadership to complete work and prioritize tasks. + Understand and maintain best safety practices in accordance with prescribed directives. **Essential Skills** + Excellent hand-eye coordination and practical skills. + Strong attention to detail. + Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. + Basic computer skills. + Good communication skills. + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. + Capability to work independently or as part of a team. + Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with paint preparation and sanding. + Familiarity with hand and power tools. + Mechanical aptitude. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Willingness to learn and grow long-term with the company. **Why Work Here** As part of a large aerospace company, you will have the chance to learn niche skills and advance your career through internal promotions. The environment may have occasional exposure to chemicals, solvents, fumes, and moderate noise levels. Dress code is casual, suitable for a hands-on production setting. Regular hours are Monday to Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
