SUMMARY OF JOB The PACS Administrator is accountable for all aspects of the PACS systems and provides support to the organizational image archival solutions including the day-to-day support, administration of the systems and project oversight for PACS. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the secure and efficient storage and transmission of medical images. This individual will act as a liaison for all Cardiology/Radiology application related initiatives within the department and external to the department. The PACS Administrator will provide on-call after hours support as required to support the organization. RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS + Bachelor’s degree preferred but not necessary based on work experience. + 5+ years of related work experience. + Proven knowledge of Radiology and Cardiology workflows including an understanding of how images are acquired and stored in PACS + Proven abilities as IT subject matter expert in Radiology/Cardiology workflows and vendor application administration with a strong knowledge of PACS and DICOM standards + Ability to prioritize and organize project work to meet deadlines. + Independent judgment in setting task priority among several assigned projects. + Strong written and collaborative communication skills + Ability to work well under pressure.
