Job Description

As a Packer, you will be responsible for folding and packing finished products, placing the folded products into packaging, and standing throughout the entire shift.

Shifts Available

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM - 17/hr

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM - 18/hr

Responsibilities

Fold and pack finished products.Place folded products into appropriate packaging.Stand for the duration of the shift.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in packing and production processes.Ability to fold products efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous packing experience is beneficial but not required.

Work Environment

This role is with a Contract Manufacturing Medical Device Company that has seen 30% growth over the past year and employs 800 people at the St. Charles location. The production floor primarily consists of industrial sewing machines within a clean GMP environment. Hair nets and beard nets are required. The facility is not climate-controlled, so it can become warm in the summer, but fans are provided at each sewing station and throughout the production area. The workforce is diverse, with over 5-6 languages spoken. Candidates who are not fluent in English may face challenges in sewing class but can succeed with translation technology. The shifts are as follows: 1st Shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with optional overtime from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm and 5 hours on Saturday once certain performance rates are met; 2nd Shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with optional overtime from 3:00 pm to 1:00 am and 5 hours on Saturday once certain performance rates are met.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.50/hr.
