**Job Title: Packaging Operator** **Job Description** The Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring that flavors, including powders, spray dry, liquids, emulsions, and extracts, are packaged according to specific batch ticket directions. This role collaborates closely with Batch Processors to prioritize food safety, quality, efficiency, and accuracy. The operator may also handle machinery such as mixers, spray dryers, and blending tanks, and must be able to read labels and adhere to safety procedures. **Responsibilities** + Package the correct finished product quantity with the correct label. + Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. + Record operational and production data as specified. + Transport materials, supplies, and products between work areas using equipment and sit-down forklifts. + Understand and recognize the impact and importance of food safety in our products. + Communicate any food safety concerns to shift leads or management. + Follow SOPs, including sanitation of equipment after each batch. **Essential Skills** + Ability to operate machinery such as mixers, spray dryers, and blending tanks. + Ability to read labels and follow safety procedures. + Excellent communication skills for reporting food safety concerns. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma required. + Experience in packaging or manufacturing environments is beneficial. **Why Work Here?** Employees are part of a mission dedicated to building a better future for people and the planet through the creation of healthier, tastier, and sustainable foods. Employees are required to wear steel toe shoes, a hair net, and no jewelry. Uniforms and lockers are provided. The job involves lifting and maneuvering heavy boxes and containers, using equipment like hand trucks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauconda, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
