Packaging Operator
**Job Title: Packaging Operator** Job Description This position is responsible for safely and effectively ensuring that our manufactured products, made either on or offsite, are packaged in appropriately sized containers. You will be required to complete any pre/post work necessary for packaging our products, including examining and inspecting containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met. Additionally, you will be responsible for labeling containers and other products, transferring products or materials into containers using hand tools and equipment, and cleaning containers, materials, supplies, and your work area. You will rotate between different positions along the packaging line to maintain variety in your work. Responsibilities + Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met. + Label containers and products accurately. + Transfer products or materials into containers using hand tools and equipment. + Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work area. + Rotate between different positions along the packaging line. + Stay 30 minutes after the end of the shift if fermentation takes longer than expected. Essential Skills + High School Diploma + Driver's License + 1+ years of production line/manufacturing experience + Experience in production line, manufacturing environment, packing, inspection, and material handling. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1+ year of experience in manufacturing in related fields such as Chemical, Pharma, Fermentation, Food, or Bio Tech. + Ability to lift, pull, carry, and pick-up objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Work Environment Work in a bio-medical manufacturing plant with exposure to cold to hot temperatures, dust, fumes, and moderate to loud noises. The environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, requiring adherence to basic safety precautions. Work around heavy machinery, including forklifts, and be prepared to handle average to heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Personal protective equipment, such as steel-toed boots, is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bangor, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
