Aerotek is Hiring for a Packaging Operator!

Job Description

The Packaging Operator assists the Packaging Technician with essential functions of operating the production line. This includes maintaining housekeeping standards, ensuring component traceability, clearing basic jams, restarting machines, and feeding materials into the production line. Certification for operating an aerial lift will be provided if necessary.

Responsibilities

Support Packaging Technician with operating the production line.Maintain cleanliness and follow waste, scrap reduction, and recycling guidelines.Ensure component traceability.Clear basic jams on the production line and restart machines.Feed production line with necessary materials.Operate aerial lift as needed.

Essential Skills

Experience in packaging, production, labeling, packing, and assembly.Ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the shift.Ability to lift up to 25lbs frequently.Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and turning in the performance of duties.Ability to climb stairs and crossovers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Certification for aerial lift operation provided.

Work Environment

Work is conducted indoors with temperatures that are seasonably normal for factory and production operations. Employees are required to stand and walk frequently, lift up to 25lbs, and perform frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and turning. Climbing stairs and crossovers is common. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times.

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
