Job Description
This position entails working within the Vitamins Manufacturing System (VMS) manufacturing area, performing tasks such as stacking, sorting, and distributing bulk products and materials. The role also includes hand palletizing, sorting products, setting up and operating packaging equipment, and managing raw materials like bottles, caps, and corrugate.
Responsibilities
Manually sort and de-clump bulk products before the packaging process, removing critical defects such as deformities or discolorations.Supply hoppers with necessary raw materials like bottles and caps.Perform or verify daily operator quality checks as per the batch record.Manually package and load/remove products on the packaging line.Assist in line clearance, cleaning, and sanitization procedures as needed.Essential Skills
Experience in packaging, inspection, production, pick/pack, and inventory.Knowledge in inspection, packing, labeling, food production, and filling.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.At least one year of work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.Work Environment
The work environment involves operating in a manufacturing plant that produces vitamins and packages them. Various shifts are available, including weekday shifts and weekend shifts. The manufacturing area is equipped with conveyor and packaging equipment, and while it is a cleaner area compared to others, it involves working with heavy machinery.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
