Job Description

As a Packaging Operator, you will operate all necessary equipment to properly package finished products, manage raw materials, and perform material handling duties while adhering to OSHA and EPA standards. Your role will involve maintaining equipment, ensuring cleanliness, assisting in training new team members, and participating in safety and productivity improvement projects.

ResponsibilitiesOperate equipment for packaging finished products.Load, unload, store, sample, and transfer raw materials and finished products.Maintain equipment through proper lubrication and minor repairs.Report malfunctions and needed repairs.Keep accurate and complete records.Sanitize and clean plant equipment and facilities regularly.Assist in training new packagers.Perform material handling duties in compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.Communicate effectively with all team members.Participate in safety, quality, and productivity improvement projects.Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

You will be working in a clean environment with strict cleanliness standards. The facility can reach temperatures as low as 40 degrees in winter and up to 80 degrees in summer. As part of our dress code, you will need to wear jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. This is a long-term contract role with potential for full-time opportunities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
