**Job Title: Packaging Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated Packaging Operators to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will inspect, label, and package raw and finished products within a clean-room environment. Maintaining records according to Good Manufacturing Practices may be required. This position offers opportunities to work on different shifts with competitive pay rates. Weekend work may be mandatory based on production needs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate production lines efficiently and maintain change parts and tooling in base condition.
+ Support setup of production line and equipment, assisting in the setup of automated equipment in packaging areas.
+ Monitor assigned production lines for performance and resolve operation issues to ensure optimal efficiency.
+ Perform housekeeping cleans on finishing lines, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
+ Conduct quality tasks throughout production runs, including challenges, parameters, pulling samples, in-process checks, and accountability.
+ Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform adjustments to improve equipment efficiencies.
+ Sustain the 5S program of parts and tooling across the floor, ensuring organization and cleanliness.
+ Escalate safety, quality, technical, and operating issues promptly to appropriate groups, fostering open communication with peers.
**Essential Skills**
+ GED or High School Diploma is required.
+ Ability to perform repeatable tasks daily.
+ Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
+ Desire to work closely with other employees.
+ Experience with safety, quality, and GMP guidelines.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in operating packaging equipment or similar technical/pharmaceutical experience.
+ Cleanroom experience is a plus.
+ Experience in pick or pack operations.
+ Background in operating systems or programs used on equipment.
+ Maintenance or technical background with troubleshooting skills.

**Work Environment**
Candidates will work in a cleanroom warehouse environment, often in close proximity to others. Standing is required throughout the shift, and GMP attire must be worn.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NORTH CHICAGO, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.53 - $21.48/hr.
