**Now Hiring: Packaging Operator** **Location:** East Syracuse, NY **Job Type:** Contract to Hire **Pay:** $20.75/hour **Shifts:** 2 Shifts on Days, 2 Shifts on Nights (ROTATING) **About the Role:** The Packaging Operator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient production of extended shelf life (ESL) dairy-related products. This position is essential to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Operate, troubleshoot, and clean production equipment according to SOPs + Perform quality control checks and ensure product integrity + Clear line jams and maintain continuous production flow + Handle equipment such as bailers, trash compactors, and foamers + Support production areas including fillers, forklifts, and packaging lines + Maintain sanitation standards and comply with food safety regulations + Communicate effectively across shifts and departments + Report safety concerns and contribute to a safe work environment **Essential Skills & Qualifications:** + Basic to advanced math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English + Understanding of weights, measures, and production documentation + Ability to operate and troubleshoot facility equipment + Completion of all required company training + Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions and around food allergens **Why Work Here:** Join a team that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
