Our client, a leading provider in the chemical packaging industry, is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Packaging Operator
**Location:** St. Louis, MO
**What's the Job?**
+ Stage, fill, cap, label, and overpack liquid, powder, and lyophilized products according to safety and quality protocols.
+ Utilize electronic balances to weigh materials accurately and perform manual filling of liquids or powders.
+ Operate semi-automated equipment for filling and capping processes while ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO, and GMP standards.
+ Document all equipment used and verify calibration status while maintaining good housekeeping and audit readiness.
+ Participate in safety activities, training sessions, and the implementation of process improvement ideas.
**What's Needed?**
+ High School diploma or GED equivalent.
+ At least 3 months of experience in chemical weighing, laboratory, filling, or packaging is preferred.
+ Familiarity with ISO/GMP regulated environments is desirable.
+ Basic math skills, including metrics and conversions.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
