Position Summary
The primary function of the Packaging Machine Operator is to safely and efficiently operate a variety of packaging equipment within established productivity and quality standards.
Responsibilities
General Items
Follow all safety standards at all timesOperate battery packaging equipment efficiently to meet productivity expectationsPerform quality checks and record data as requiredBe a self-starter - demonstrate initiative to identify and apply solutions to remove roadblocksDemonstrate ownership and willingness to continuously improve self and area of accountabilityMake equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standardMaintain equipment cleanliness and good housekeeping of work areasRecognize continuous improvement opportunities that will enhance safety, quality, organization, and productivityOther duties as assigned
Quality/Production Duties
Maintain a constant supply of materials to the machines as required.Clear all errors in the equipment and feed systems.Make all process adjustments necessary to assure good quality product.Assure all scrap is marked & contained properly.Maintain accurate inventory records and quality control charts.Perform specified operator maintenance as required.Assist the mechanic as required when machines are down.Perform all quality checks and maintain quality control charts as directed by the Value Streams.Complete all reports (production, downtime, quality, etc.) as directed by your supervisor.We we are looking for
At least 2 years of production/manufacturing operations experienceMust be able to meet the physical requirements of the job including but not limited to lifting, walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs and laddersSelf-motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment with limited supervisionMust be available to work 10 - 12-hour night shiftsMust have good verbal and written communication skillsMust have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills and abilities

The pay rate for this position is up to USD $21.25/Hr. per hour
